NILGIRI

In India, the traditional system of health care forms a means of livelihood and traditionally practiced knowledge which is acquired through experiential experiences for a very long time.

FW 23 is inspired by the sensory experience of the spice plantation around the Nilgiri hills, India has the treasure of natural healing and medicinal herbs and plants, and the source of India is especially a very important center for the same. It is a land that is highly fertile and nature is found in abundance.

TAANBAAN

TaanBaan is a celebratory collection embracing Spring and enjoying summer with its gorgeous Greens, Pinks, Yellows, and Whites, created with organic cotton and combining ancient Indian techniques of extra weft from Bhujodi and Jamdani of West Bengal, as well as intensive clamp dying.

For Injiri, ‘Taan Baan’ encapsulates the unyielding power of the yarn on the loom, as well as the loom’s language, a song set to the beat of weaving, and the music created by the weaver to make his wonders.

HOMELAND

The Homeland FW22 celebrates the creative and artistic relationship between the artisans, their homes, and the locally available natural resources. Within the diverse landscapes of India- from the desert to the oases, to the coast and sea- artisans have developed skills to meet functional and economic needs. The crafts made through these skills show creative artistic expressions and aesthetics. Shared from generation to generation, they preserve not only the practical skills but also the shared social values associated with cultural identity.

RASA

Rasa is a kind of sentiment and the audience gets the sentiment from a piece of creative object.

It is an inborn desire of humankind to express the emotions and feelings we get from our daily acts and observation. When we see the beauty of the rising sun and moon, the clouds and lightning while raining, the colorful nature in the spring season, and the trees with no leaves standing like skeletons everywhere in the autumn season, we enjoy eating the food of our choice, wish to relate, to express these charming and dreadful experiences of domestic life, we also wish that someone may share our pleasure by listening about all the household amenities and facilities or reading our letters in which we narrate comforts and even discomforts of our daily life routine.

The collection is also photographed in this area of exceptional beauty and character. The textiles used are woven in Gujarat and Kashmir. Neel

Neel is a collection developed with experiments with natural indigo over the years across various textile techniques such as Jamdani, clamp dye, extra weft. Jamdani  is an old technique that Injiri is associated with and it has been done using natural vats for this line. In terms of silhouettes we have been conservative in our approach as to cut a garment in a way that there is minimum wastage.
